Ghost Whisperer was premiered on 9-23-2005.
Series opens with Melinda Gordon, a newly wed gal who is able to communicate with ghosts. On the season opener, the spirit of a soldier approaches her and says that he’s lost. She tries to contact with soldier’s son but he considers her nothing more than a fraud. A young boy is killed inside a vehicle; Melinda helps him by re-assuring her mom that his death is not her fault. She also helps a teenager to apologize for her past betrayals. Later on, Melinda helps a woman who is being haunted by her fiancé. As the season comes at mid-point, Jim meets with an accident and at hospital; she meets up with the spirit of a young wife who dies during surgery. Throughout the season, ghosts do appear, they do talk to her; they do seek their help and finally series come to an end on 5-5-2006 with the episode ‘The One (2)’. On this season finale, Melinda helps hundreds of passengers after a jetliner crashes. She also discovers that ‘Wide Brim Man’ is following her, in fact, working against her. Crash investigators are surprised how Melinda knows that the plane was going to crash.
Season’s #1 Episode- The Vanishing
Melinda meets with an accident and a head injury puts her abilities at risk. She can’t communicate with spirits anymore. She attempts to help a young gal whose is frustrated after the death of her boy friend. Melinda faces the challenge of helping the boyfriend cross over without using her gift.
